On April 25, 2026, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course officially launched the INTERNATIONAL GOLF CONNECT SERIES 2026, marking the debut of a brand-new tournament series designed to strengthen connections between golf clubs in Vietnam and around the world.
The launch ceremony welcomed representatives from golf clubs, business partners, and media organizations, offering an overview of the tournament’s format, scale, and development vision for the 2026 season. The event marked the beginning of a new competition model that not only encourages sporting excellence but also creates valuable opportunities for networking and international collaboration within the golfing community.
According to the Organizing Committee, the INTERNATIONAL GOLF CONNECT SERIES 2026 will feature 16 participating teams, comprising 8 Vietnamese golf clubs and 8 international golf clubs. One of the tournament’s defining features is its head-to-head competition format, with each match pairing a Vietnamese club against an international club.
The tournament will be played over 18 holes using the System 36 handicap system in combination with Stableford scoring. Each team will field 12 official players, with the team accumulating the highest combined Stableford points declared the winner. This format ensures competitive balance among golfers of different skill levels while maintaining excitement throughout every round.
Beyond competition, the tournament is positioned as a platform for cultural exchange, business networking, and international collaboration. Through both on-course competition and off-course activities, participating clubs will have opportunities to connect, exchange experiences, and establish long-term relationships. As golf continues to play an increasingly important role in business and professional networking, the INTERNATIONAL GOLF CONNECT SERIES 2026 is expected to deliver value far beyond the game itself.
The tournament has been designed as a season-long series, with qualifying events taking place throughout the year and the Grand Final scheduled for August 2026. More than a competition to determine the strongest teams, the series also serves as a stepping stone toward even larger tournaments within the Tan Son Nhat Golf Course tournament system.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the launch of the INTERNATIONAL GOLF CONNECT SERIES 2026 forms part of Tan Son Nhat Golf Course’s long-term development strategy to enhance the quality of golf club activities while supporting the continued integration of Vietnamese golf into the regional and international golfing community.
With a clear vision and an innovative competition format, the INTERNATIONAL GOLF CONNECT SERIES 2026 is expected to become one of the standout events on Vietnam’s golfing calendar in 2026—bringing together sport, culture, and meaningful opportunities for international partnership and collaboration.
