Tan Son Nhat Golf Course Announces the 2nd Tan Son Nhat Cup Golf Club Championship
On the morning of June 16, 2026, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course officially launched the 2nd Tan Son Nhat Cup Golf Club Championship in the presence of representatives from golf clubs, sponsors, partners, golfers, and distinguished guests.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s championship returns with the goal of establishing an annual competition dedicated to golf clubs while strengthening connections, promoting sportsmanship, and fostering the continued growth of Vietnam’s golfing community.
As the pioneer of a club-based championship format, Tan Son Nhat Golf Course aims to provide a professional competitive platform where golfers can not only showcase their individual abilities but also demonstrate teamwork, unity, and the collective strength of their clubs.
According to the official schedule, the 2nd Tan Son Nhat Cup Golf Club Championship will take place throughout July 2026, featuring three key stages:
- First Qualifying Round: July 21, 2026
- Second Qualifying Round: July 22, 2026
- Championship Finals: July 31, 2026
The championship is expected to welcome 24 golf clubs and nearly 300 golfers. Demonstrating the tournament’s growing appeal, 12 clubs officially confirmed their participation during the launch ceremony.
One of this year’s most exciting highlights is the tournament’s innovative competition format, which combines individual excellence with team strategy. During the qualifying rounds, teams will compete in Fourball, Foursomes, and Individual Stroke Play, with scoring based on the Stableford Gross Score system. At the conclusion of the two qualifying rounds, the tournament committee will determine the overall standings and select the top 12 clubs to advance to the Championship Finals.
The Finals will feature two exciting match-play formats: Singles Match Play and Fourball Match Play. Combining individual and team competition, the final stage promises thrilling contests where strategy, resilience, and teamwork will ultimately determine the championship winner.
Beyond providing a premier competitive platform for golf clubs, this year’s championship also stands out with a total prize pool valued at up to VND 10 billion. An extensive prize structure, together with a variety of prestigious Hole-in-One awards, reflects the Organizing Committee’s commitment to delivering a world-class tournament experience for Vietnam’s golfing community.
Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of the Organizing Committee reaffirmed their vision of developing the Tan Son Nhat Cup Golf Club Championship into a premier annual event where golf clubs can compete, exchange experience, strengthen friendships, and continue promoting the positive values of golf throughout the community.
With professional tournament organization, an innovative competition format, and an exceptional prize structure, the 2nd Tan Son Nhat Cup Golf Club Championship is expected to deliver outstanding competition, memorable moments, and further strengthen its reputation as one of Vietnam’s premier team golf championships.
The launch ceremony officially marks the beginning of the 2026 season and opens a new chapter for participating clubs as they prepare to compete for one of Vietnamese amateur golf’s most prestigious trophies. Exciting matches, unforgettable moments, and remarkable displays of teamwork await this July at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course.
